As part of using OpenSpot, we collect the following data:

3. What the app does not do
OpenSpot does not: • Track your location in the background: geolocation is only used in the foreground, on demand, to search for nearby places • Sell personal data to third parties • Display advertising
4. Subprocessors
OpenSpot relies on the following providers: • Supabase: data hosting (database, authentication, storage), EU region • Google Places: place search • OpenStreetMap, via the Overpass API: place data • Sentry: crash and error reporting (technical diagnostic data only: device, operating system; no personal identifiers), active only when the tool is configured at release • PostHog: analytics, EU hosting, only with your explicit consent
5. Analytics
Analytics (PostHog) is optional: it requires your explicit consent in the app, and no data is sent until you give it. Data is hosted in the European Union. You can withdraw your consent at any time from the app's Profile screen.
6. Data retention
Data is kept for as long as the user account exists. It is deleted along with the account when the account is deleted.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the following rights: • Right of access to your data • Right to rectification • Right to erasure • Right to data portability • Right to object You can delete your account directly from the app's Profile screen: this action deletes the data associated with your account.
